Physical DescriptionA round silver urn features a raised pattern made of flowers enclosed in circles. Each one is linked together by smaller raised flowers positioned to create curved lines. Diagonal incised lines decorate the remaining space. It is topped by a circular lid that displays raised curved shapes, and it is supported by a round foot.Historical NoteMoroccan Ambassador Abdelhadi Boutaleb and his wife gifted this decorative urn to the President and Mrs. Ford in December, 1976.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteA foreign official gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
