Physical DescriptionA rectangular stamp features an image of several groups of men wearing eighteenth- century military uniforms. The men are in various positions among a snowy scene with a cloudy sky in the background. There is horizontal yellow text along the top and red text outlined in black across the bottom. There are black ink marks in the bottom, proper right corner.
Historical NoteIn 1975, Equatorial Guinea produced a series of American Revolution-themed stamps to commemorate the bicentennial. This stamp came from the gifter's personal collection of bicentennial materials.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
